NYC Pride Announces 2013 Grand Marshals

NYC Pride announced that it has selected and confirmed Edith Windsor, Harry Belafonte and Earl Fowlkes as Grand Marshals for the 44th annual NYC LGBT Pride March.

Dance on the Pier Moves to Enclosed Pier

New York’s largest open-air gay dance party won’t be held in the open air this year. Citing deterioration on the pier, the city has moved the Gay Pride capper Dance on the Pier to an enclosed space, also on the water.

In a city like New York it is quite an achievement to hold an event for which gay people would do anything to get on the guest list. Well Hugh Hysell and his Men Event organization have succeeded in creating such an event: the Post-Pride Party held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Hundreds gathered this past Wednesday for a couple of hours of socializing and drinks, not to mention being treated to an exclusive, no-hassle peek at the highly acclaimed Alexander McQueen exhibit. If you couldn’t sneak, hustle, bribe or otherwise procure a ticket to this event not to worry: EDGE had one, and took some photos to taunt you with!
