Residents of a posh condo complex want the 16-year-old and iconic Folsom Street East fair moved or even eliminated from New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood.

San Francisco’s Read Bad, the party that follows the Folsom Street Fair, donates 100% of proceeds to charity, always uses a new, unheard DJ, and is the most coveted ticket in town.

I was asked by the fantastic and fabulous Chi Chi Larue to be a guest of honor at a Folsom Street Fair kick off Party in San Francisco; and as I had never been to Folsom, I decided to make a weekend of it and take in all the festivities that the weekend has to offer. It was probably one of the most interesting I have ever experienced; naturally I’m going to share the nasty details with you!
