Unlike many other AIDS fundraisers, AIDS Walks across the country continue to raise much-needed funds to support local AIDS organizations.

Although the San Francisco AIDS Walk boasted a $2.7 million haul for local ASOs, less than half made it to service organizations. These groups now pledge to lower their 58 percent overhead on expenses.
