One Million Moms Won't '69' With Spirit

EDGE READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Apparently Christian media watchdog group One Million Moms hate both mutual oral sex and bargains.

In their latest rant, the self appointed harridans of all that's holy are taking on Spirit Airlines over a promotion the budget carrier is having in celebration of the launch of the 69th aircraft in their fleet.

OMM's latest call to action reads:

Spirit Airlines ads often use distasteful marketing choices. For example, there is also their Bare Fare ad. The script for that ad goes: "Our fares are unbundled: no 'free' bag, no 'free' drink. From the start, it's just you're a_s + gas and a personal item." That included an image of a stick figure covering its privates as though not wearing any clothes. Yesterday, they went too far with their latest perversion and launched their "69" ad. It's a shame an airline would advertise in such a way when families fly on their airlines. This time they have outdone themselves with a disgusting ad.

The advertisement "We love 69" on their website and in their email campaign reads:

We're celebrating!
We have a new plane!
Fares In This Deal Just $69.00* Round Trip
Includes Taxes & Fees!

We've been waiting to hit 69 planes for years. It's our favorite number - ever since we were twelve and found that magazine under our brother's bed (the one with the fantastic articles). #69 is perfect: just the right size, with a cockpit that's in your face (because it's bright yellow). Use your mouth to spread the word: Spirit is in an even better position to get you where you're going. $69.00*round trip. That's $34.50* each way when traveling to select destinations on select dates in April 2015 and May 2015. Round trip purchase not required. These fares are limited in availability. All flights must be booked by 11:59 PM on March 17, 2015.

One Million Moms isn't alone in their objection to Spirit's promotion. A Twin cities Fox affiliate is also complaining.

"You can't object to that price point, but you certainly can object to the discount airline's marketing strategy, which is so juvenile it led us to wonder if Spirit's website was hacked," the news outlet wrote.

In the spirit of "69" if you'd like to send a message to OMM and Fox to "suck it," visit Spirit's website to the advantage of this great deal.
